Major Accountabilities
|
|
- Leads a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and effective execution of electrical maintenance work by the Service Provider in accordance with the contract KPIs.
- Oversees development and implementation of maintenance programs.
- Establishes and enforces the safety compliance procedures for the execution of all electrical systems maintenance activities.
- Develops and enforces the processes of Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all electrical systems maintenance activities performed by the Service Provider.
- Ensuring the effective implementation of the Preventive, Predictive, Reactive and Corrective maintenance of all electrical systems according to the latest approved vendor/manufacturer recommendations.
- Leads the process of frequent Preventive Maintenance program audits.
- Regularly assess the competency level of Service Provider staff and recommend the required development.
- Coordinates and ensures proper execution of works carried out through subcontractors, especially for manufacturer-authorized maintenance.
- Monitors and analyzes critical spare parts usage and reviews the forecast in addition to evaluation of reimbursements.
- Lead asset management and condition assessment exercise of AAFM electrical equipment/assets.
- Plans future electrical asset replacement and equipment modernization using capital outlay funds as required.
- Reviews reports on emergencies and equipment breakdown with the team to provide feedback and recommendations to management
- Recommend and review training requirements for subordinates as required and encourage career progression.
- Plans, assigns, distributes and prioritizes work among the team, provides guidance and coaching to team member and evaluates their performance.
- Ensuring all management reports are done promptly as per the agreed frequency.
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of new methods, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare monthly work completion certificate inputs and all supporting documents as per contract.
- Attends promptly to major faults.
- Leads commissioning of new electrical and automation systems within the area of responsibility.
- Represents the department in HSE internal and external audits.
- Participate with other KAUST departments in the development of new scopes of work of expansion projects within the area of responsibility.
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and relevant stakeholders (e.g. HSE, PDE&C and University Projects).
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely completion of service requests, in-house projects, in addition to expedited resolution of complaints, if any.
- Recommend and review training requirements for subordinates as required and encourage career progression.
- Plans, assigns, distributes, and prioritizes work among the team, provides guidance and coaching to team member, and evaluates their performance.
- Ensuring all management reports are done promptly as per the agreed frequency.
- Review maintenance performance scores, discuss areas of improvement with Service Provider, and implement steps for improvement.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account “international best practices’, improvement of business processes, sustainability, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
- Any other task delegated by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications
|
|
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
|
|
Experience
|
|
- 6+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Requires experience in a Campus environment and familiarity with the maintenance regime of MEP systems.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.
- Familiar with maintenance concepts and working with SAP or other CAFM systems. (desirable)
