Position Summary:

To direct the learning and development programs and initiatives to meet KAUST strategy. To ensure effective learning and development programs are designed and delivered to allow learners to achieve high performance across KAUST.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Managing and monitoring the workflow the Learning and Development function.
  • Coaching and developing team members and building team capability in line with new or emerging needs.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to support insight and decision making.
  • Being able to work with and influence senior leaders across all areas of the university. 
  • Setting KPIs, KAUST Development Framework, and monthly reporting.
  • Developing, marketing, and delivering programs effectively.
  • Creating development plans and coaching and support to newly appointed senior leaders and executives.
  • Ensuring team can provide support to identified high potential managers.
  • Contributing, as sought, to creation of talent management framework.
  • Developing L&D policy, to respond to new circumstances, and make decisions in relation to the application of policy.
  • Identifying or anticipating changing needs of the university, and developing new strategies, programs or initiatives in response to this.
  • Ensuring operational excellence by having the right systems, processes and data in place to ensure the smooth delivery of services to meet customer needs.
  • Managing and supporting agreed training programs.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years, with at least 4 years in a leading role in Adult learning or closely related field
  • Experience in any Adult Learning aspect would be an advantage
